Very cool Andy! Getting a nice tight fit in the spruce must have been tough. If you can cut Koa and fit it as nicely in spruce -- cutting pearl and inlaying it into ebony or rosewood ought to be easier!

Only observation is that each of the paws appears to be either the left or the right.

Michael -- nice inlay design!

Looks great, Andy.
"Lazy Dog Guitars", huh?
I think your dog should be lying down!
Sound asleep, or too unconcerned to get up.
Maybe the prints could be his tracks walking to his favorite bed?

Just thinking out loud....

Steve

I'm no Paul Bordeaux either so don't worry
I hear he's not me either too...
He's North, I'm South!

Andy- You may feel like cutting pearl is hard to do, but you did a good job with those woods. If you start looking for ways out of it like fillers, mixes, etc.. while they may be unique, and even work possibly well, your not going to be developing your abilities at "real" inlay. It's hard now because your a beginner at it (so you say).
The only way to become better is to do more of it.
Don't give up. Cut pearl. It gets easier.

Then again you'll get to a point after a while when everything seems challenging and you wonder why you get yourself into some projects, but they tell me that's called breaking new ground.. It certainly takes more stamina than covering old ground!
